Virginia Tiered Systems of Supports

Who we are

The Virginia Tiered Systems of Supports aligns academics, behavior and social-emotional wellness into a single decision-making framework to establish the supports needed for schools to be effective learning environments for all students. We partner with school divisions throughout the Commonwealth to support the successful implementation of the framework.

VTSS Secondary Schools Symposium

An Exciting Learning Opportunity for VTSS Middle School and High School Implementers!

Are you looking to learn more about instilling a positive culture for behavior, wellness, and academic learning in your middle school and high school? For the first time, VTSS will be offering a training geared toward middle school and high school students’ needs!

This two-day event will include a pre-symposium for state, division and school leaders and coaches on day 1, as well as a symposium for all middle school and high school implementers on day 2. Featuring keynotes from Dr. George Sugai and Dr. Patti Hershfeldt, Ed.D, it promises to be an exciting and enriching time for all who attend!

You can learn more about this training, our featured speakers, and how to register at the VTSS Secondary Schools Symposium page. We hope to have you join us!

Join VTSS for Effective Classroom Systems!

VTSS is proud to present a new Effective Classroom Systems training in April 2020 specifically for administrators! We are especially excited to extend this invitation to administrators from divisions not yet involved in VTSS. This will be a great opportunity to learn about our work in schools across the Commonwealth and find out if being part of VTSS could be right for your division.

VTSS New Cohort Information – Cohort 7!

Divisions interested in joining VTSS Cohort 7 are encouraged to participate in either a virtual or in-person division exploration series. This professional learning series will be open to all Virginia school divisions and will guide them through the exploration phase of VTSS. Upon completion of the series, school divisions will be ready to move forward with VTSS implementation and apply for participation in the 2020 VTSS cohort.

Information may be found at our VTSS New Cohort Information web page!
